Google使用Goobuntu，是自家版本的Ubuntu，安装在我们自己的台式机上。Google的服务器系统脱胎自旧的Red Hat版本，但后来程序改变得实在太多，所以现在实质上已变成Google自己的版本。就操作系统而言，Google以前曾亦步亦趋地跟随Red Hat，但现在系统变得很精简，很不一样，所以情况已改观。
