Qpid's overall goal is to create an open and interoperable implementation for messaging which implements the AMQP specification. Currently there is a Java and C++ broker with clients in C++, Java (JMS), Ruby, Pyhton and C# for .NET
Qpid provides two AMQP messaging servers:
- C++ - high performance, low latency, and RDMA support.
- Java - Fully JMS compliant, runs on any Java platform
Qpid provides AMQP Client APIs for the following languages:
- C++
- Java, fully conformant with JMS 1.1
- C# .NET, 0-10 using WCF
- Ruby
- Python
